Mr. Lucian Ion has undergone training in both Europe and the UK. He first received his medical degree from the University of Bucharest before beginning his plastic and general surgical training in Paris. While there, he studied in numerous, world renowned hospitals. Mr. Ion continued his training in Britain, where he passed his examinations becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. His advanced training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery was then completed throughout London, in various plastic surgery units. His training covered all aspects of the plastic surgery, and included a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at The Wellington Hospital in London.

Mr. Ion went on to successfully pass both the Intercollegiate Board exam in plastic surgery, as well as the European Board exam for plastic surgery, and was also listed on the Register of Medical Specialists of the General Medical Council. In 2000, he was appointed to the position of Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Mr. Ion is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the British Burn Association.

With a special interest in facial sculpting, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and reconstruction of post-bariatric problems, Mr. Ion started his clinic with the primary focus being on helping patients to realize their dreams for an improved appearance. Mr. Ion has regularly been featured on television documentaries examining the subject of cosmetic surgery. He has also appeared in print media such as newspapers and magazines discussing topics such as facial surgery, rhinoplasty and the adoption of new technologies in his practice.

Communication is key to helping the patient realize the dream of an enhanced appearance. The Harley Street offices offer comfort and privacy. The experienced, friendly and professional staff will put patients at ease. When a patient first visits the clinic, they will meet directly with Mr. Ion, who is the not only a Consultant Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon, but the practice's director as well. During a patient’s consultation, imaging software will be used to show the patient how they might look after their cosmetic surgery procedure.
